Bangalore getting 3G on 20th Feb?
Today I got a message on my Airtel (ironically) postpaid number which indicated that BSNL is going to launch 3G on 20th of this month. The message read:
"BSNL Launching 3G !!! Video Call, Mobile TV, Speed Upto 7.2 Mbps @ Re 1 PM, For details call 9400024365. Available at Ur Nearest Retailer/CSC after 20th Feb"
By calling the number mentioned above (from a BSNL number) you can get the details of 3G tariff. I was able to call the number as I got a BSNL prepaid sim only yesterday, lucky me :) Existing 2G customers have to pay Rs. 120 to migrate to 3G plan and will be getting 3 month validity with some amount of talk time. I forgot the charges for voice and video calls but they were pretty reasonable. Data transfer would be charged at 1p/10KB (almost unbievable).
I am not sure what Re 1 PM in the message meant. It is either Re 1 per minute or per month (both would be insane). In any case if its coming on 20th I am getting it on 20th.

My first twitter bot !
Ever since I got on to twitter, I wanted to create a bot of my own. I have created a weather bot for Bangalore. All you got to do is follow @BloreFeelsLike on twitter and you will get current weather conditions and forecasts for the next two days at a maximum rate of 1 tweet for every 3 hours.
Currently the weather data is got from RSS feed of Yahoo! Weather for Bangalore.

Broadcasting myself after a break of two and a half years !
It has been 8 months since I started to learn keyboard and as of now this is what I can do :) This is the second video that I am uploading to my YouTube channel. The first one was uploaded some two and a half years back !

A rainy evening
Got up quite late today and did not go to office. Could not work from home either, because of not being able to connect to vpn. It was raining almost throughout the day and in the evening I felt like taking pics of the buildings around my place. I am not an expert like my brother but the pictures are not too bad either, I hope.
